These timbers are rigorously selected and treated to ensure that their quality and performance meet the high standards required.
The process of making LVL timber is complex and delicate. Firstly, the logs are rotary cut into thin slices (veneers) which are usually around 3mm thick. Next, the veneers are dried to reduce their moisture content to prevent warping and cracking in subsequent processing. After drying, the veneers are glued, usually with environmentally friendly phenolic resin adhesives or polyurethane adhesives, which have high bond strength and durability.
