We choose high quality pine wood as the raw material. Pine wood should be free from obvious defects, such as cracks and knots, which will ensure the durability and aesthetics of the skirting. In order to prevent the wood from deformation and cracking during subsequent processing, pine wood needs to be dried. This can be done by natural drying or artificial drying methods to reduce the moisture content of the wood so that it reaches a suitable processing state. After drying, pine wood needs to be initially processed.
A cutting machine is used to cut the pine timber to the required board size, typically the width and thickness of the skirting. This step lays the foundation for the subsequent fine processing.
Next, the boards are finely processed using tools such as planers and saws. This process involves machining the sheet to the exact size and shape. In addition, the skirting needs to be moulded on one side, and different shapes such as simple bevelled edges or curved edges can be chosen to meet different decorative needs. In order to ensure that the surface of the skirting is smooth and burr-free, it needs to be sanded with sandpaper or sanding machine. This not only improves the feel of the skirting, but also provides a good foundation for the subsequent painting treatment.
